Fred's 24th
Thursday, May 8, 2014 | 10:00 AM | 4 comments

As you can read from the title, it was Freda's Birthday yesterday, and many of us got together to celebrate this joyous occassion with her. In case you don't have a clue who Fred is... Here's a short introduction. (Hahaha she's so gonna hate me when she sees this)

Let's take a walk down memory lane... I gotta know her back in 2012, so it was approximately 2 years since. She was the person who brought me into Gushcloud, where I was then exposed to all kinds of people, really cool people. She's my manager, my really good friend, and probably an older sister I never had. Even though we're both really busy, considering how much of a workaholic this lady is, she would always squeeze some time out of her busy schedule for me, and this is absolutely priceless. She's one person I give my utmost respect to, because she taught me so much and has always been there to guide me as I grow.

Most of you should know by now that I'm the only child in my family, and it does cross my mind several times, "How does it feel like to have an elder sibling?" Well, she answers that question. I've never felt so connected with someone before, and I'm really glad to have met Fred. As a person, or as a friend, she's someone I really value, someone I know would never ever walk out on me even if everyone else does.

Her shortcomings are what make her perfect. She's annoying and super naggy sometimes, but those are the small little gestures that allow me to realise how much I mean to her as well.

Thanks Fred, love you. (Don't get goosebumps or start tearing up pls. I know I'm very sweet, thanks. Hehe)

So anyway, we had dinner at this really decent, French restaurant, La Nonna, located at Namly Place. It is pretty isolated and the vicinity of it does give me the creeps, I'd probably freak myself out if I lived there and had to walk back home alone in the night.

Besides that, the food was really good and I'd say it's an ideal place to bring someone to, if you're out on a date and looking for a quiet place, with relatively affordable dishes.

Alright, I'll let the pictures do the talking now. (⬇︎ I'm sorry Fai, I just had to do this :p)

BFF's 17th
Tuesday, November 19, 2013 | 9:54 PM | 0 comments

5 years. What's 5 years to some people? Some may think that 5 years can bypass like a gush of wind, and it's no big deal... Indeed, I wouldn't disagree, but the past 5 years have taught me so many things I'll never want to forget and will always be kept close to my heart.

Good or bad memories, they are still memories I wish to look back and laugh upon. Life hasn't been easy for me, but I'm glad to have come such a long way and to have learnt so many lessons to get me to where I am today.

However, I wouldn't have made it through if it wasn't for this special someone; my best friend, my pillar of strength, Trixy.

I've always told her the things we both have been through, could never be compared to any of the things any of my ex boyfriends and I did.

She's one of the first few friends I made in my secondary school, and probably one of the only friends that's still in my life until today.

Well, I've lost her. Twice. But I'm grateful that these encounters made us cherish each other more than before.

Remembering the days in secondary school, where I'd cry over some douchebag and she'll always be there to wipe those tears that were streaming down my face.

Over the past 5 years, we hardly fought... But whenever we did, those were the darkest period of my life. I would say I've quite a number of friends, but I wouldn't say the same for friends whom I'm close to.

Good friends are really hard to come by, which is something I'd perpetually remind myself of, and it's the reason why she's someone I'll never want to lose.

We've grown so much, so so much (as you can see.) From those two girls that almost every teacher disliked, those two rebellious ones who always tried stupid things together, those two who constantly explored new ideas on how to skip our dance classes together...

Haha, nothing ventured nothing gained - Wouldn't have realized how foolish all these were if they didn't take place.

And now, we're those two that helped each other come a long way, who are clear of our goals, and she's finally found someone who she loves, and who truly loves her too.

We share a similar character; like our views are usually the same for everything, but it's funny how we are also different at the same time. She's like the girly girl, and I'm the complete opposite of that. She's the kind who would stick in a relationship for years, and I'm the kind who... Let's not even get started on that.

We share different interests, but I believe it's our differences that bring us together.

I'm just so glad to have her in my life, she's like a twin sister I never had.

Late night phone calls, doing sneaky stuff together, ranting about boys together, telling each other everything, partying, sleep overs... Yeah, the capacity of this space wouldn't be enough to hold all my love for this girl.

I'm so happy to have you in my life, and I really hope you'd be happy, from the bottom of my heart. Because your happiness weighs so much more than all the little things in my life.

There's no doubt that I feel like strangling you and dumping you in the sea sometimes, but I know I'd still risk my life to save you even though I can't swim. Hehe.

I know this post is already cheesier than mac&cheese, but thank you for completing my life. Love ya.

Only a special occasion would be appropriate for me to write something like this. When you love someone, you don't have to tell them everyday... Besides, I think we insult more than we compliment each other. Like they always say,

"Boys insult each other, but they don't really mean it. Girls compliment each other, but they don't mean it either."

Haven't been in Singapore on her birthday for the past 4 years... Won't take the blame, my parents just had to coincidentally place our flight on her birthday.

BUT GUESS WHAT, I'M FINALLY AROUND THIS TIME!!!

Wanted to bring this girl somewhere for brunch on her bday (3 days back), but the plan turned out to be such a failure. The store was closed for some personal reasons that day.

Nonetheless, we walked around and found this Asian, Japanese restuarant which managed to salvage our dampened moods.

Love the ambience of the whole place! A little intimidating though, too many caucasians around... Felt a little stress to dine there lmao.

Look who's this gorgeous girl.

Prices of the food there were unexpectedly affordable considering how exquisite everything was. About SGD20-25. Not to mention how filling they were.

Fleurettos / Sheena, Kim & Eric's Birthday
Tuesday, September 3, 2013 | 5:59 PM | 0 comments

Can't deny that one of the things that I was really taken aback by, would be how I'm really in love with these dresses that I've gotten from Fleurettos!

Well, I've never been a big fan of flora prints... At least for the past two years. Besides, who knew I would dress up this way? Totally unlike me, but I decided to give it a try.

AND I ACTUALLY LIKE IT.

The first dress I picked was Bed Of Roses

Apart from the cut-in sleeves, (which is my fav, because it shows off your shoulder blades - makes you look thinner) I'm surprised how good the quality of the dress was. Frankly, I wasn't really expecting much.

There are a billion over outfits in the world, but have any of you ever wondered what makes a good outfit to me, besides its design? The cutting. Sounds pretty cliche, but cuttings do actually matter a lot.

Certain dresses make you look taller, whereas others make you look petite. Some make you look slimmer, and some help you "put on some weight."

I wanted to alter the dresses initially, cos I felt like I was too short to fit into them... I didn't know what made me change my mind, but I guess it was a good decision. At least to me it was. Didn't wanna show off too much of my ginormous tree trunks anyway. Lol

Second piece I chose was Birds In A Garden Frock

This dress gives off a slightly more "mature" feeling compared to the first piece, with its tight-fit cutting, and polyester-cotton material. (Feels a bit like silk)
 .

Feels really classy to me.

I feel that both look pretty good without the need of any accessories, because of their designs, but you can top it off with a simple bangle or necklace! Simplicity is the best. :)

Celebrated one of my amazing managers, Sheena's (+ Kimberly) birthday last Sat evening.

Met Tyler, Joanna, Rid, JH and Symone to get her a gift before Tyler drove us all to The Sentosa's Garden Villa.

I swear we had the worst time of our lives trying to find our way there. Apparently we weren't certain of the exact location, and made a wasted trip all the way to the end of Tanjong Beach. Only after alighting, and walking for about 15 mins, we then realized we went to the wrong place. /Pulls hair/

It was fun, yet super exhausting!!! Filled with perspiration by the time we got back into the car.

Finally after going in circles for about 30-45mins, we arrived!

I think I can skip the explanation on why 3/4 of the place was filled with pink stuff... But if you still don't know why, it's because the theme's Barbie!

This little cup of goodness was so yummy.

With the Birthday girl!

Symone~ Doesn't she look so Korean? Couldn't stop telling her that, lol.

The cake's so pretty!!!

Sheena and Kimberly~

I don't know what makes me happier than watching people I love, happy. Bliss.

Ending this post with a picture I really don't remember taking thereafter, at Zouk for Eric's Birthday party. Hahaha.

Birthdays after birthdays!!!! So many of my friends' birthdays fall on this month, including my Mom. Gonna burn a hole in my pocket.

Alright bye guys!
