With more than 10,000 followers on both their Instagram and Facebook pages, Wardrobemess has made its mark over the past couple of years. So I'm guessing there isn't a need for an introduction on who they are. Besides, it's not the first time I'm reviewing on their clothes, and each time, there's a new element of surprise to anticipate for.

Unlike the previous time, where I went all girly and picked loads of flowery, pastel-like stuff... I thought I'd go with my usual thing for black this time.

We all need at least two little black dresses in our closet.

According to Wikipedia, little black dress is an evening or cocktail dress, cut simply and often quite short. Fashion historians ascribe the origins of the little black dress to the 1920s designs of Coco Chanel and Jean Patou[1] intended to be long-lasting, versatile, affordable, accessible to the widest market possible and in a neutral colour. Its ubiquity is such that it is often simply referred to as the "LBD".

Well to me, instead of a whole paragraph of what seem rather, profound explanations on what defines a little black dress, it's basically a simple black dress that can be adapted to many various occasions.

We can't deny black is probably the easiest colour to pick, while browsing through a section of clothes, shoes etc in a physical store. Not only does it go well with anything, ironically, such monotonous colour could actually stand out on its own. Often, without the need to adorn it with extra accessories.

Undoubtably, accessories can sometimes make a notable difference to our outfits.

My first pick was this Criss Cross Side Dress. Alone, it brings out this sassiness with the cut-outs on each side, and revealing of one's midriff. I decided to pair it up with this bold, silver eagle necklace I got from Topshop to bring an edge to the overall look.

A dress suitable for everyday usage or simply mix N' match it with a leather jacket for a ladies' night out!

Next, it's this Cut In Slit Maxi which I am so fond of. These sorta maxi dresses are the ones that you could easily notice a "height-boost" upon wearing them. Long, sleek and perhaps a time to pair it off with your killer heels.

I actually have 3 similar maxis in my closet; with all sorts of sleeves. Talking bout' obsessed aye.

Wish to skip the formality of the look? Switch to a pair of sneakers and you're ready to go! See what I mean when I said these little black dresses are extremely versatile?

Not to mention, any colour or design of shoes could match with your little black dress!
