Losing people is just part and parcel of life, but despite the number of times it recurs, it never becomes a "I got used to it" kinda thing. It's an excruciating experience; livid and writhing in agony, you experience a mixture of emotions, but what about walking away from someone you wish to stay with for the rest of your life?

Well, one thing I kinda realised over the years... Sometimes, it's necessary to create a little distance from certain people every now and then, as a form of reminder how much you actually mean to them.

I'm pretty sure many of us would encounter or may have already faced a situation where we care way too much for someone who has never appreciated our existence, but there's only so much we can do. The next possible step after giving your all, is to stop trying. Leave them alone. Embrace the pain and desperation, and walk away.

It's not easy at all, but that's how humans are wired. They don't realise what's there until it disappears.

What's truly yours, will still be yours eventually.

Don't care too much, don't love too much, don't trust too much, don't expect too much
Cos that "too much" could hurt you so much.
